I joined the Mary’s Center team in August 2020. I was born in Minnesota but a lot of my family roots are in Norway. I am humbled to be at a place like Mary’s Center that serves participants no matter the language, socioeconomic status, race, or ability to pay for services. During my education, I was involved in several different community outreach programs. I spent my summers advocating for healthier communities at the state and local levels through a non-profit organization called The Association for Nonsmokers of Minnesota. Through this organization, I came to understand the importance of community engagement in creating change. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, weight lifting, thrifting, traveling, reading, and cooking.
