Community Engagement Council

Become a member! 

The Community Engagement Council (CEC) is a group of participants who are dedicated to sharing their feedback about their experience at Mary’s Center and Briya Public Charter School (Briya PCS). The CEC participates in special projects or working groups with Mary’s Center and Briya PCS staff to help us understand the needs of the broader community so that we can better serve them. 

We invite you to join the Community Engagement Council. Please keep reading to learn more. If interested, please scroll down the page and fill out the member application form. 

Member requirements:

• Attend a 2-hour meeting once a month
• Attend at least 9 meetings in a year
• Have the ability to speak and write in English
• Participate in meeting discussions and share ideas 
• Respect all CEC members
• Write notes and keep them for future meetings
• Review information given to you and offer feedback
• Review questionnaires and surveys and offer feedback
• Provide ideas on how to improve the  participant experience
• Discuss ways to help more people access services
• Be a positive voice for the work Mary’s Center and Briya PCS offer the community

Meeting information:

This council meets monthly. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, meetings will be held virtually until further notice. You must have access to the internet or a smart device/computer to attend meetings. All meetings will be held in English.
