Dr. Wakeman started at Mary’s Center in November 2019. As a family physician she appreciates the opportunity to get know all members of a family and understand the community around us that influences our wellbeing. Her medical training has taken her from rural Honduras to Seattle to the Ho-Chunk Nation in Wisconsin and now to Washington, DC, and she learns from her patients every day. She knew she wanted to be a part of Mary’s Center because of the multidisciplinary approach to caring for patients as a whole, as well as the commitment to advocating for the health of our community. She enjoys exploring nature, watching and playing sports, and enjoying good food with her family and friends.
