Dr. Cornejo is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. For over 15 years, he has committed his career to providing high-quality health care. Dr. Cornejo joined Mary’s Center in 2009 and has held the roles of Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer and Senior Administrative Medical Director. Dr. Cornejo has served as the Interim Vice President and the Treasurer for the DC Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Prior to his work at Mary’s Center, Dr. Cornejo was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Georgetown University Medical Center and a Pediatric and Family Practice Resident Preceptor at both Virginia Hospital Center and INOVA Fairfax. He currently acts as a Clinical Pediatric Instructor at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Cornejo is originally from Peru and currently resides in Maryland with his wife Vicky and their dog Rico. They all enjoy going for long walks and are frequently on the hunt for the perfect sushi and boba tea.
