Before coming to Mary’s Center Katherine worked as a First Responder both in the ambulance and the Emergency room in Washington DC. Katherine uses her knowledge of the Emergency Medical Services to help participants navigate how to respond to urgent clinical needs. She finds a great sense of purpose in helping prevent unnecessary ER visits and facilitating care coordination to get fast and responsive care to participants. Before entering healthcare Katherine served in the Peace Corps in both El Savlador and Zambia. Outside of work Katherine enjoys theater, dance, and cheesemaking.
