Mary’s Center Behavioral Health (MCBH) aims to provide high quality behavioral health services to improve functioning, personal goal attainment and life satisfaction to clients both within Mary’s Center and DC community-at-large. We seek to reduce stigma of behvioral health concerns with providers ready to listen, normalize our clients’ concerns, and share knowledge and strategies to reduce suffering.
MCBH clients access behavioral health services by calling our main number, through DC’s Access Help-Line, or through referral from Mary’s Center Primary Care Providers and Program staff.
Our Outpatient Behavioral Health Services is a Core Service Agency for the Department of Behavioral Health, serving DC residents seeking behvioral health services, as well as Mary’s Center existing medical patients seeking additional support with behavioral health conditions.
MCBH is partnered with 12 schools in DC’s Ward 1 and 4 where therapists conduct diagnostic and assessment services, individual, group, and family therapy, and referrals to psychiatry and other community services. Our SBMH Therapists also support teachers, parents and school culture where possible.
Our Maryland clinics provide behavioral health services through a Primary Care Behavioral Health model to participants who are currently accessing primary care at our Maryland locations. Behavioral health services are provided under an Integrated Care model in which behavioral health providers work together with medical providers to help address patients' mental/behavioral health needs within the primary care setting.
